There is plenty of opportunity for competitive golf for both men and ladies with weekly competitions, monthly mixed league matches and annual knockout competitions. The men and ladies also play competitive matches against other clubs.
New golfers will find lots of encouragement from more experienced members who are more than willing to help them obtain their first handicap and achieve their ambitions to improve on this.
The club offers an active social calendar for members including quiz nights and seasonal parties. The club also prides itself in its fundraising efforts with fun events including an annual coffee morning.
The club has reciprocal arrangements with several other golf clubs which allows members to play for significantly reduced green fees. This is a great bonus for members of Grange-over-Sands Golf Club.
Full members can now enjoy one FREE round of golf at courses such as Windermere, Furness and Kendal. Subsequent rounds are at a reduced rate too! Contact the office for further details. 015395 33180 ext 1.
For those questioning whether they can afford to become a playing member we have made sure that there are membership categories suitable to suit most pockets. The Club's Management Committee will also give consideration to reducing the cost of membership for any person who provides satisfactory evidence that the cost of membership is not affordable to them.
SPECIAL RATES FOR THOSE AGED 20 - 35 YEARS OF AGE
Here at Grange we recognise the financial pressures faced by many younger people so we've introduced a special discounted membership category designed to make golf membership more affordable. Enjoy unlimited golf at a discounted rate.
MEMBERSHIP FOR PERSONS ON LOW AND MODEST INCOMES
Grange Over Sands Golf Club, as a registered Community Amateur Sports Club, now offers membership at a reduced rate for those on low and modest incomes. This is available without discrimination, to persons (new and existing) who can reasonably demonstrate that they cannot afford full membership. They will be entitled to join the Club and participate fully at a cost of less than £520 a year. Any person who feels they cannot afford full membership should apply in person or in writing to the Acting Secretary, providing information and any supporting documents that will demonstrate that they are unable to pay the full membership fee. Each application will be considered on its merits. Further information or supporting documents may be required as part of the application process and may be subject to independent verification before receiving approval.
The Club gives assurance that our procedures in this matter will be discreet and confidential throughout the application process. All members under this category of membership will enjoy identical voting rights and privileges to our other standard categories of membership.
